I love The Lynx. Lauren Groff has a variety of books, including Florida books, books written by local authors, and books that have been challenged or banned in the state. It's a welcoming place that respects voices and journeys, allows for unity and community, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone in need of a new title. :)

What an adorable bookstore. Independent bookstore offering a good selection of books, several with hand written descriptive notes that added a nice personal touch. A cute & cozy kids nook. Lots of unique gifting treasures like a handheld bike repair kit. Postcards, greeting cards, mugs and stickers. Friendly staff members.

Lynx Book Store offers a nice variety of books and other alternative gift ideas. It offers coffee, tea, matcha, and some small treats for a reasonable price. Beautifully decorated and has a comfortable feel. They have author visits so check the website and calendar. It is next door to Depot Park, Heartwood Sound stage and Center and minutes from 4th Ave Food Park. A fun and beautiful place to meet up with friends or browse and buy books and gifts, gives off a peaceful and fun vibe.

The Lynx is a beautiful book store and also coffee bar! Grant was super helpful and led me to a book that I didn't know I needed! Picked up some classics as well as a hat and shirt so I can rock The Lynx back at home! A must stop for book lovers in Gainesville or surrounding areas!

The world needs more cozy bookstores like this one. Helpful and friendly staff and great ambiance to peruse the shelves looking for my next read. I love to support local bookstores, too, because the experience is what matters to me. I loved learning about the live events with authors and book.clubs available. I hope to return when I visit.

The Lynx is a lovely independent bookstore store adjacent to South Main Station near Depot Park in Gainesville. The book displays, indoor seating and outdoor patio area provide plenty of space to browse the wonderful selection, relax with a beverage (and food) or get some work done I'm a welcoming atmosphere. This was my first visit, definitely not my last!

A lovely modern books store with impeccable atmosphere and a great selection of mostly modern books. I can only truly speak knowledgeably on two genres: Fantasy and Graphic novels. Their Fantasy section is small, but well curated selection. Light on traditional Fantasy (only Tolkien & Herbert) the selection is skewed heavily to popular new authors and Romantasy. The Graphic Novel section is of a literary bent, with lots of Drawn & Quarterly. Independent comics all, no super heroes in sight. Some great stuff in there. The rest of the store is filled with a variety of genres, with heavy emphasis on LGBTQIA+ literature, and the (very long list) of banned books in Florida. An incredibly cute coffee shop is in the corner, with cozy reading nooks and small conversational-clustered table here and there. Lots of cool book-nerd knickknacks abound, and the employees were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Love this book store. Was happy to see they had some punk rock book talks during the fest this year. Hopefully they continue it next year. They have a little coffee bar and are super welcoming to everyone. Keep it up guys!

Almost every time I visit Gainesville to see my daughter at UF, I treat myself to a visit to Lynx on my way home. I love the inclusive spirit of their book selection, the unique puzzles and this time I bought two blind date books to share with friends. The children’s section is great as well. Booksellers are friendly and helpful.
